JUST SAY NO TO VOLKSWAGEN

German engineered perhaps but don't mistake "engineering" with "manufacturing".

This VW and ALL Beetles and Jettas made in at least the last approximately 30 years were made in Mexico.

PAGE ONE       PAGE TWO       PAGE THREE     PAGE FOUR      PAGE FIVE       PAGE SIX       PAGE SEVEN

This car is making my family sick to the point that we can no longer drive it. Volkswagen and Martin Winterkorn himself

has been made aware of this and they simply ignore it. VW USA executives expressed they simply do not care!

If you spend your hard earned money on a car, and in our case $27,000 on this Volkswagen Beetle Turbo you like to get a car that

doesn't leak, won't grow mold and won't basically disintegrate before your very eyes. Why would VW simply ignore this?

My guess they simply do not care! Evidence, their recent scabdal on their uncaring deceptive practices.

"PAGE ONE "

NOTE - The issues contained within these pages started to exist years ago while the vehicle was still under warranty.

At that time and each time afterwards while under warranty when we contacted the dealer and the manufacturer

we were told the issues were cosmetic and therefore not covered under warranty.

When the condition got worse and was no longer just cosmetic we were then told the vehicle is out of warranty

thus would not be covered. With this posttion being taken by them where does it leave the customer?

The Below Photos are Actual Images of our $27,000

Volkswagen (VW) Beetle Turbo and numerous of it's many DEFECTS!

Besides being unsightly and many parts no longer functioning some of these issues

pose a health and physical danger to the driver and passenger and a are liability for Volkswagen.

They are aware of this and simply do NOT seem to care.

UPDATE

This white stuff is dangerous MOLD. It was growing and making it hard to breath and no matter how

often we cleaned it it would grow back due to the leakage defect which VW refuses to fix and simply ignores.

We can no loger drive the car as we are in fear for our health. VW's reply, "we don't feel it is our responsibility"

If not his responsibility, I am compelled to ask whose is it?

You can see the plastic is actually breaking down and becoming like Tar.

Photo #3

The transfer of the plastic onto anything that touches it makes it difficult to even exit car.

Photo #4

We've ruined many pieces of clothing due to this issue and communicated

with Volkswagen many times to have them warrantee and repair it.

The handles are disintegrating and cannot be used. They are brittle and are barely still attached.

The outer portion of these handles has simply crumbled and fallen off.

Photo #5

The inside door panel covering is falling off as it is apparent that the adhesive has

broken down and is no longer holding.   This is happening on Both Sides.

Photo #6

You can see the adhesive simply is not holding.

Note, below the handle the plastic is actually seperating and pealing off, appearing as yellowing.

(FYI, when plastics are molded which are made to be outside or subject to sunlight the manufacturer

is supposed to put an additive in the plastic resin prior to molding called "UV Inhibitor".

This adds some cost to the manufacturing of the parts but is 100% necessary

if the part is expected to last the life of the car.)

Photo #8

Closer view of the plastic is actually seperating and pealing off.

The Plastic around the switches is breaking down and becoming like Tar.

   Photo #10

The Plastic is so tacky it is impossible to clean it and everything sticks to it.   Disgusting!!!

   Photo #11

The Plastic around these switches is preventing them from any longer hold into door frame.

Again everything sticks to these parts making them unusable and impossible to clean.

Odometer shows current milage at time of photos.

The problems referenced here have been an issue for years and progressively worsens.

We have communicated with VW many times about this over the years, to this point to no avail.

This Odometer Photo was taken before we left home for the dealer for rapairs under recall.

   Photo #18

Note: Check Engine Light is on and inspite of numerous trips to the dealer problem not resolved.

Entire Dashboard is softening and breaking down and cannot be touched without causing marks.

These dashboard images are before the car was taken to Pete Moore Imports for recall repairs.

Because of the soft condition of the Dashboard we can never touch it ourselves,

thus we specifically advised the Service Manager of Pete Moore Imports,

Michael Kern of this problem when we left the car for repair and advised not to touch the dashboard.

   Photo #19

These photos also show how Filter Materials from Inside The Air Conditioning has broken down

and blows our everything you turn on the heat or air conditioning.

This can't be easily cleaned as we cannot touch the dash and can only blow it off with an air hose.

   Photo #20

   Photo #22

The White you see here on the dash board is actually Mold which has grown due to

water leakage from sunroof drain defect.   This is very difficult to clean due to condition of dash.
